U9 Girls Victorious in Last Game!

With a flurry of goals, including separate hat tricks by Talia List and Zoe Barkoff, the 03Girls Blue dominated the Downriver Rush to win their last game of the Fall 2011 Season 14-0. The team used their superior footwork and passing skills to ensure almost every player had a chance to score.

First half keeper Laura Boesch held off the Rush the few times they got close to the goal and defender Abby Wickman stepped in to help second half keeper List at the goal line. Liliana Kash and Gabriella Crespi again provided offensive support along with Elizabeth Backer, Claire Campbell, Ryleigh Reed and Caitlyn Cieslik.

Sam Miller, 03Girls Blue coach, said after the game that the girls have progressed into mature young soccer players this season. While pleased with the victory he emphasized that it is more important for the girls to incorporate what they learn in practice than to win games.

The girls thanked Coach Sam for all the hard work by giving him his own United warm up jacket.
